The XFlow® system is cost-effective in the engine room and in particular if installed in combination with an accommodation system. A gas system is typical a one-shot system; but a big benefit with a water mist system is that it can operate continuously, and can even be operating with personnel in the engine space as the water mist will not harm the personnel. XFlow® does not affect electrical installations and unlike gas or foam will not harm machinery or crew.

The XFlow® water mist system is environmentally friendly and requires less maintenance than gaseous systems, uses water from the freshwater tank and takes up no extra storage space.
