The XFlow® system is cost-effective in the engine room if installed in combination with an accommodation system. It is more than a one-shot release as the system is designed for freshwater use, but it can also be connected to an unlimited seawater supply. XFlow® does not affect electrical installations and unlike gas or foam will not harm machinery or crew.

The XFlow® water mist system is both environmentally friendly and more user friendly as it requires less maintenance than gaseous systems. Further it uses water from the freshwater tank and therefore takes up no extra storage space.
